Daniele Stefàno is a composer based in Italy who is specialized in Soundtracks and Ambient Music.
Daniele needed a YouTube channel to share his works, and he wanted it to be a place to relax and to appreciate Ambient Music, as well as Soundtrack music.

His digital brand identity needed to reflect his personality and musical productions.

LOGO DESIGN

Daniele is involved in landscape architecture as well, so when he compose he is generally inspired by nature. So, our logo design was developed studying natural and simple shapes.

Circle, Flower, Music: these elements were mixed to create Daniele’s new logo.
The circle was chosen for its meanings: semplicity, purity, relax. The flower added a touch of nature, while music was the supporting column of the entire project.

Merging these elements what we got was the so-called “Flower of Life“, an ancient symbol that stands for rebirth, regeneration, joy and hope. This symbol is also part of sacred geometry.

TYPOGRAPHY & COLOR PALETTE

The fonts used in this logo are smooth and regular, while the color palette includes the shades of a sunset on the sea, with tones of orange, purple and blue.

DIGITAL BRAND IDENTITY

The logo, along with its fonts and colors, was applied to Daniele’s entire YouTube channel and Spotify profile, down to the smallest thumbnail.

Each color was chosen to represent a category of music you can find here: purple for Soundtracks, blue for Ambient Music and orange for Free Stock Music.

VIDEO SPOT

To introduce himself and his channel, Daniele wrote a script for a small video that we shot in his studio, with all of his equipment.

ILLUSTRATION & VIDEO ANIMATION

After the first steps on YouTube, it turned out that we needed a pre-roll spot to get aired on YouTube itself. We decided to create one in motion graphics, telling a story in which the main character, an alter ego of Daniele, is influenced by music.

Daniele provided us the music track, rich of variations and arrangements, on which we should have moved the character.

Our first approach to the animation, though, was chromatic: we matched different colors to the different frameworks that the music track suggested us. After that, we developed the narrative structure itself.
Fairytale archetypes allowed us to focus on some main cruxes, summarizing them in short sketches – the so-called “Hero’s Journey”.
Everything was created as you were watching a bidimensional puppet show, where every action is performed with a touch of oneirism.
